Turkey welfare and standards
We adhere strictly to certified high standards for rearing
turkeys and maintain excellent welfare standards across
every farm. We are Quality British Turkey (“QBT”)
and Assured Foods (Red Tractor) certified and work
closely with the Humane Slaughter Association.
Our farming practices are also in line with the DEFRA’s
code of practice,the Farm Animal Welfare Council's Five
Freedoms.

• Freedom from hunger and thirst
• Freedom from discomfort
• Freedom from pain, injury or disease
• Freedom to express normal behaviour
• Freedom from fear and distress
Our farms and factories are open to regular
unannounced inspections from
independent bodies
such as Defra,
Trading Standards, the RSPCA and
representatives of all major UK supermarkets.
