Training and Skills

We are experts in employee training for processing, health and safety, food safety
and hygiene.

Our de-boning butchery training is considered to be the best in the industry. Butchery
is a highly skilled art, and that is why we have over 1000 trained turkey butchers at our
dedicated production site in Suffolk.

Each one is trained for over 3 months and learns how to portion the bird to expertly
maximum yield.

We also look to lead in relevant training where our expertise can help support the industry.
For example, we are currently establishing a poultry processing qualification for our business
and for industry use, developed in partnership with IMPROVE (Government Food and Drink
Sector Skills Council) and the British Poultry Council, which incorporates health and safety,
hygiene and practical processing line skills.
